Writer's Notes - by Walt Heaps

                                                                                              DISTRIBUED THROUGH AMAZON

I have included just two quotes each from respected authors and friends who have read my book.

I've known Walter Heaps  for 13 years. I thought I knew Walt Heaps. After reading his book, "The Farmer Boy's Tale: From the Farm to Bank Vice President", I now know Walt much better...!! If you like reading about the lives of people, this book will give you an inside look from Walt's perspective, looking out onto a fast, changing world. Every chapter, every page and every paragraph gives a hint of some local folklore, of some historical trivia, of some place and date in time that the reader will connect with, like "I heard about that" or "I didn't know that". Walt gives some real insight of living and working on both sides of the Mason/Dixon Line. Sometimes in Maryland and sometimes in Pennsylvania and sometimes in far off countries around the world. You'll be glad you read Walt's book. A farm boy, fulfilling The American Dream, and you'll discover that dream can still be a reality in your life as well. ':

The Farmer Boy’s Tail Tale by Walt Heaps is an autobiography covering 70-years of a diverse life. The Dinsmore murder and two suicides by hanging experienced by Heaps are dark twists and turns most of us are glad to have avoided. Finding the love of his life, raising children, and having a mortgage are things readers will relate to. His story of life on the Mason-Dixon in southern York / northern Harford counties is interwoven with some historically memorable moments that will likely spawn flashbacks if you also lived at that time.

Walter Heaps is a colorful guy. He made his way from simple life on a farm to executive and world traveler, and he witnessed some amazing (and some scary) things along the way. This is an enjoyable slice of life from a time when the world in small-town Pennsylvania saw dramatic changes. Walter was there, and he's here to tell about them.

On page 15 of my book THE FARMER BOYS TALE shows how our farm house looked while I lived in it. After it was sold to the Amish it still stands but it has been renovated..

OUR UNEXPECTED TRIP TO HAWAII

Kathy and I just got plain lucky as we embarked on a seven day adventure we really hadn't planned.

When I called about the trip. i found out we had only a two day window to book this particular package for $799.00  a person.

This is only tour we actually paid for and it was the U S S Arizona Memorial in Hawaii.
